The 1st Ever, Almost Complete Audio Post
After 24 hours and 2 emails to the Blogger helpdesk, I am just going to move forward & post this without the last 3 pictures. I am terribly aggravated (Changseeker, you feel me!) so you are just going to have to use your imagination until I can get the remaining photos uploaded!
"...one time, at band camp..."
"...look deep into my eyes..."
"Wow, I was just waaaaay up THERE!"
"...so fresh & so clean..."
[do you really need captions when it's an audiopost?]
[This is where the additional 3 pictures would be if Blogger weren't so DUMB!

- iaintlying: girl, you were out here yesterday before I could get the pictures up (and turns out, I still couldn't get them all up *groan*)
and when I tried to respond to yor comment, the whole damn post was gone, comments & all.
so here is the kinda finished result. sorry for the confusion!
I don't blame you for being hesitant to get out on the edge of the dune. Tall and sandy has never been a real workable combination for me either.
Princess, love the braids. :-)
How much is that doggy in the window? He/she is really cute! Glad you had a great time.
Yeah, Princess. When I first saw the post (even before your aside to me), I thought, "You, too, huh?" :-D
And this is beyond awesome. I am mesmerized and must learn how to do it. Oh, yeah! The voice, the photos, everything. Want it, want it, want it!
It's so fun to hear your voice period. And adding the photos? Too cool! Thank you for doing this.
Question: did the audio just stop in the middle or did I do something wrong?
(Hey, Jessi!)
Sorry. Just realized there's a part two. Your "accent" comes out a little. Did you realize? You must have relaxed a bit. You are having too much fun (and couldn't happen to a nicer person). Holla.
Hey y'all! This has truly been a test of my patience - I am still trying to work with Blogger Help folks to get the remaining 3 pictures up there. At least they're being responsive.
The audioposting thing is pretty cool. You sign up at www.audioblogger.com (I think that's the address. It's something like that.) You have to have a blogger account. Then you just go through a couple of simple steps, call the phone number and start talking. It sends the post right to your page, no draft mode or anything, so if you want to tweak it (like add photos or whatever) you have to go snatch it back by saving it as a draft. Oh, and it gives you 5 minutes for each post, which is why the 1st one cut off. Who knew I couldn't describe 8 pictures in 5 minutes?
So yeah, I was pretty tired when I was recording this. I had had a pretty busy & exciting weekend and by Sunday afternoon I was like, let me just get this done so I can have something posted. Plus I've been trying to be online less while i'm at work. I've got so much to do before I skip town and reading blogs isn't helping me complete anything work related!
My accent, huh? I'm curious, how would you describe said accent, Changeseeker? *smiling*
Barney is one of 2 dogs that I had the pleasure of spending my weekend with. I'm sad that there's no picture of Krammer, the other one. He's my buddy for sure. They spend hours each day swimming in the lake and rolling around in the sand so they were looking & smelling their absolute BEST! But it's so much fun for them, it's just fun to watch them frolicking.
*jumps up and down* this is so exciting!!!!!! You did a great job and i love your voice. What kinda accent is that? It was so calming to listen to you and look at the photos.
Those pics are amazing and you are so beautiful!!!
ME next!!!! if i can figure out how to do this, imma be back!
Rachel - yes, Cleveland.
Damali - most people tell me that I have a southern accent. I didn't think it came through in the recording. mostly just the tired, annoyed voice.
It didn't come through so much in the first half, but it did in the second half, I thought.
I spent my early years in the mountains of Kentucky and then lived in the Louisville area until I was ten. I killed my accent a long time ago, but sometimes (when I least expect it, I think) it pops out of an internal closet somewhere. I always find it amusing, but don't "hear" it myself even when somebody asks about it.
My grandmother was shot to death by a cop in Cincinnati. Does that connect us in some imprecise way? :-)
I was so cool to hear your voice. It makes you more "real"...LOL. AND we got a face to go with the name. I'm glad you had such a good time.
For some reason, I can't see the pics. Nice voice you got there, though!
Makes me think I should do something like that too.
Or maybe not.
;)
Wow! I had no idea that Lake Michigan was so beautiful! If you hadn't said where you were, I'd have thought it was an ocean or at least a sea.
Thank you for sharing this with us!
OMG - Do you know how weird that is to hear your voice??? I haven't heard it since high school!!!! I have been coming and reading your blog and this was really awesome-great photo's too-truly beautiful. It's like going down memory lane sometimes here!!
- rocketmom: I had no idea you were stopping by!!!! Thank you so much for reading - that's just awesome. Isn't it wierd to hear? Do you think I still sound the same?
