I'm Back!

Did you miss me??

I've just returned from a 7 day cruise in Hawaii, so that's why I've been incognegro for the last 2 weeks or so. I have achieved a nice chocolaty color, even got a bit of sunburn on my shoulders and I've spent the last 2 workdays trying not to fall asleep at work.

So, once I am slightly more alert & able to string together a coherent sentence, I'll be back to blogging. In the meantime, I'm just trying to maintain...

Yep, I missed ya. I was tempted to send out a search party through the blogosphere to find ya! I forgive you though since you were in Hawaii. You gotta go check out Changeseekers blog. It's been jumping off ecspecially concenring the situation in Lebanon. Go check on your girl Nubian too! You have a lot of reading to do young lady and tons of comments to make. Oh, do we get to see pictures of the new chocolaty Piscean Princess? Hope so. Holla at ya girl! :-)

yeah, it seemed like I would be compromising my "stealth" mode if I told y'all in advance that I was skipping town for a week!

I know I have TONS of reading to do. But I had to start real slow. I read one Sunday, one yesterday (Damali, I'm sooooo glad you're back!) and one today. Perhaps if I get some work done this week I can pick up the pace.

As for the pictures, I don't see why not. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any photos of me at my chocolatey-est (which is right now). Although there should be, 'cause as of this afternoon's workout, that whole sunburn thing is pretty much over. I'm gonna have these tan lines for at least another 9 or 10 months, for sure.

Yes, yes, the life of a lowly accountant slash actress is rough, indeed. ;)

I am still trying to convince my body that we are in fact back on Eastern Standard Time, and that we have to get up in the morning and go to work, preferably on time. So far, not so good. But there's still the rest of the week...

I got slightly more caught up on blog reading today. I really am trying to start slow, 'cause I'm way too sleepy to be bombarded with serious, hard-core stuff right now. Baby steps. If I weren't such a maniac, I would be able to just read the current posts of all my blog friends and not try to go back through the archives of the last 13 days. But I can't be missing stuff, so...*sigh*...baby steps. (I wish I had one of those remote control things like in that Adam Sandler movie, so I could stop bosses from hovering while I spent 8 or 9 hours helping myself to my job's internet connection.)

I spent the week prior to this trip predicting record breaking chocolatey-ness, I spent the last several days in the mirror confirming said chocolatey-ness and since I've been back at work I have laughed at my akward co-workers as they try to figure out how to acknowledge/comment on my newer, creamy-er, chocolatey-er coating...and it never occured to me that this made me much more like that woman in my profile picture. Huh! Silly me!

As for the cruise, it was my first. But I was still acutely aware that it was quite possibly the most bargain basement, bootleg cruise in the world. Overall, it was a fantastic way to see the majority of the islands, though and it was free (my mommy is the best mommy ever!) so I certainly can't complain.
