Okay, so why did you have to pull that one out! That song has been in my spirit for days now. It is like the soundtrack to my life at this moment. Living with an open heart takes a hell of a lot of courage. To give without expectation? Most of us give because we want something. You know the whole "do unto others...". To accept without exception? Most people don't even accept themselves. I have been and am guilty. Yeah, I have so much to learn and as bleak as it looks, I have to believe that I can learn and that I can get to the place where I am love and I'm loved. That in my estimation is life lived with an open heart. We'll never know unless we continue to try. Sing the thang India!
Yeah, it's been working on my for weeks. Since I've been back from Hawaii, it's been even more relevant. I think I'm pretty good on the "give w/o expecting" part; it's the accepting thing that I struggle with on a daily basis. And it seems like every time (since my return)that I've been in my car or at work thinking about someone's behavior and judging them, that damn song comes on and I have to check myself.
